This decorative gemstone can be found in only one place in the world: northern Burma (in a place called Maw-sit-sit, naturally). Now that's rare. As for beautiful, Maw-sit-sit is a combination of a rare pyroxene mineral (green color) called ureyite and natrolite (lighter green) which looks similar to jadeite. Its vivid green coloring, delicate polish and waxy lustre make it a real eye-catcher. Patterns on Maw-sit-sit are unique which make it a great stone for creative jewelry designers.
