Description

Most probably heat treated, this long hexagonal shaped cut sapphire from Sri Lanka weighs 3.21 carats. Faint to moderate color patchiness may be observed. The stone is clean other than for some faint feather inclusions. 10x magnification reveals that the stone is "paper worn" from being inside a stone parcel with other stones and have sustained the facet edges to become abraded.
